Nick Saban Watched Frustrating Movie With His Wife Instead Of Sugar Bowl After Loss To Michigan

Nick Saban Netflix Miss Terry

Nick Saban was not interested in watching more college football after Alabama lost to Michigan at the Rose Bowl on Monday afternoon. He and his legendary wife, Miss Terry, watched a movie instead.

However, the film they selected was equally as frustrating as it was productive.

According to USA Today, Miss Terry asked her husband about his postgame plans. She wondered whether he wanted to watch the Sugar Bowl between Texas and Washington.

Coach Saban quickly replied, “not really,” so Miss Terry suggested that they watch Netflix. They are currently watching a foreign film together and she assumed that they would pick up where they left off.

Miss Terry said that the movie is “Turkish or something” and added that the required subtitles would help to take her husband’s mind off of the crushing loss. There was only one problem.

Saban stated his grip with subtitles back at the end of November. More specifically, he was admittedly irritated by his wife’s reaction to the international programming.

We have to read the captions, whatever, the subtitles because it’s in a foreign language. And Terry keeps saying, “Turn it up. I can’t hear it.” I mean, what are we doing here?

It was hilarious.

While Miss Terry’s intentions are good, for sake of her husband’s sanity, let’s hope that she kept her commentary to a minimum as they resumed the Turkish movie back at the hotel in Pasadena. If he was trying to get over a loss while she was asking him to turn up the foreign film, it might have only added to his frustrations!

Either way, Nick Saban was likely unable to think about anything other than what transpired on the field. It didn’t matter what they watched or how loud or what language it was in.

As for the future of the greatest head coach in college football history, nothing has been said. There has been speculation that Saban might retire form his role at Alabama at the end of the 2023/24 season.

That decision is to come down the road. The focus was on Netflix.
