NFL fans are coming up with hilarious new nicknames for 49ers QB Brock Purdy, who looked jacked in a recent interview. He looks motivated to reach another Super Bowl in San Francisco.
The passer’s “everyman” look was on display each and every Sunday last season as he nearly led the Niners to a Lombardi trophy. While not always the biggest player on the field, he did his part with an absolutely loaded offensive unit.
In fact, he excelled in most cases, firmly supplanting himself into MVP consideration.
Listed at 6-1, 220 pounds last fall, it seems we could see a few extra pounds added to that number for the 2024-25 roster.
He made waves earlier this offseason for that work ethic. He’s putting a focus on his body!
That was never more clear than in an interview appearance this week.
Brock Purdy was asked if he thinks about his next contract when he sees other QB’s getting paid this offseason:
“For me, that’s so far down the road with my situation and I gotta be present right now, right here at camp. I gotta be better and grow right now so I can be the best… pic.twitter.com/D4rCKSrrCg

Brock Purdy is looks motivated to land a big payday!
The quarterback is entering Year 3 of a four-year rookie deal. Should he lead the 49ers on another deep playoff run, a nice new contract could be in the works.
Until then, he’s stuck to deal with his current base salary of $934,252.
That number ranks 54th amongst NFL passers, though he’s done a nice job of finding outside compensation to bridge the gap. Much of that has come in the form of marketing.
He was asked about those side gigs on Sunday.
Brock Purdy talks about his supplemental income [John Deere & Pioneer Seeds] and how it’s helped him:
“Just security, our house, where we live and when we travel. Being able to fly first class and do those kinds of things. And Ubers, the more expensive ones, where they’re more… pic.twitter.com/1Pwz5NCSLZ

“Obviously, I don’t make a whole lot…” he said. “I make good amount, playing football, but with the lifestyle and the privacy for my wife and I… we’ve got to make some kind of money somehow. Marketing is a great opportunity for us.
“I’m trying to provide for my wife and my family moving forward… You never know. Tomorrow’s not promised. Trying to be smart about it.”
For now, Purdy is relying on those outside marketing opportunities to supplement his income. Judging by his offseason training routine, those days could be numbered!
He’s motivated to achieve more success and bank a big payday in the process.
