Nikola Jokic Did Not Care About Winning MVP Award For Third Time

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic seemed annoyed with the fact that he was awarded another NBA MVP award.

On Wednesday night, the NBA announced that Jokic had won the award after beating out Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luke Donic

After being given the award, Jokic admitted to the media that he would have preferred if he had not won it like last year.

“It’s been three, four years now. I think I’m kinda used to it, so I didn’t even pay attention anymore. Probably a good problem to have”

“To be honest, I liked last year when I didn’t win it and we won a championship much better,”

While Jokic didn’t care about winning MVP, Shaq was having a meltdown on TV because he felt SGA should have won.

“I felt SGA deserved it… The fact that he has to start all over next year and try to win it again… hopefully he uses this to motivate him to win a championship.” said Shaq on Inside The NBA.

Jokic is only 29 years old and is likely the favorite to win the MVP award next season which means he should probably be used to winning the award by now.
