It’s been a big week for Serbia on the sports front, as Novak Djokovic secured the 24th Grand Slam title of his career at the U.S. Open on the same day the country’s basketball team secured a silver medal at the FIBA World Cup. Those achievements gave the nation an excuse to celebrate—and it’s safe to say people there took full advantage.

On Tuesday, an estimated 50,000 revelers gathered outside the City Assembly in Belgrade to give that group of athletes (which also included the basketball team that won its fifth consecutive 3×3 title at the Europe Cup) a very warm welcome after they returned from their respective tournaments.

It was a pretty emotional evening for Djokovic, who was moved to tears by the reception he received after heading out onto the balcony overlooking the raucous crowd with his most recent U.S. Open trophy in tow.

Serbia’s second-place finish at the FIBA World Cup was especially impressive when you consider the team was without the talents of Nikola Jokic, who opted to take a well-earned break after leading the Nuggets to an NBA title last season.

Jokic wasted no time heading back to Serbia after taking part in the victory parade in Denver, and he’s been living his best life while racing horses and letting his hair down while hitting the town.

The Summer of Jokic continued on Tuesday night, as the superstar linked up with Serbia’s national team at a club after the ceremony and was filmed singing and dancing inside a venue where he eventually decided to rip his shirt off.

Djokovic was also in attendance, but he seemed a bit more content to have a low-key night with his wife Jelena instead of trying to keep up with Jokic and the rest of the Serbian squad.

What a crew.
