Breaking: Ohio State And Oregon Will Wear Uniforms For National Title Game

One week from tonight, Oregon and Ohio State will play for college football’s ultimate crown in the inaugural College Football Playoff.

Because it would be really weird if they didn’t, they’ll both wear uniforms. Nike confirmed the teams will be clothed with an impeccably timed press release this morning which provided even more details about the garments.

The Oregon Ducks will take the field wearing new away uniforms including a white jersey with tonal gray and silver accents, together with wolf gray pants and a white helmet with silver wings. The jersey showcases the tonal silver “Fighting Ducks” logo on the sleeve and the pants feature the words “Fighting Ducks” along the legs.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will wear their home uniform, a scarlet jersey with white and gray accents reminiscent of the 1968 championship game, combined with gray pants and the team’s traditional gray helmet.

It will be interesting to see if the actual jerseys feature enormous wings and a cape. If so, those extraneous additions will surely impact the game.
