Ole Miss and LSU played to an all-time classic during Saturday’s college football game, which is referred to as ‘The Magnolia Bowl.’ The Rebels took down the 13th-ranked Tigers in a shootout and kept their SEC Championship hopes alive by avoiding a second loss in the West.

It is always mayhem when these two teams get on the field. Saturday was no exception.

Ole Miss defeated LSU 55-49 after 59 points were scored in the first half. Weirdly enough, neither defense played terrible. Both offenses were cooking all night and made things happen.

The game was played in Oxford, Mississippi in front of a record crowd. 66,703 fans packed into Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for a game between two programs that fully expect to compete for the College Football Playoff and/or New Year’s Six Bowl game each and every year.

10 wins is the standard for LSU and Ole Miss in the Lane Kiffin and Brian Kelly era. And when you factor in the rivalry element to the game, it created a rowdy environment all night.

Although the Rebels scored with under a minute left to take a lead they would not give back, the Tigers nearly walked it off in the closing moments on a Hail Mary. It was close.

Ultimately, though, the ball hit the ground and the clock hit zero to give the home team the win. Fans, especially the students, rushed onto the field in celebration. The scenes were incredible and vibes were high.

However, there was one security guard who tried to stop the storm. He failed miserably, but he got a few licks in. The man kept a low base and his head on a swivel.

He was throwing elbows left and right. Most of them missed.

One of them really connected. The security guard landed a vicious elbow on an unsuspecting female that sent her flying to the ground. She got rocked.

His efforts were largely unsuccessful and the field was properly stormed. He got that girl good, though!
