The Wisconsin Badgers football team landed a huge commitment over the weekend from a four-star defender. Cornerback Omillio Agard made his pledge to the program on Saturday, picking the Big Ten power over schools like Clemson, Michigan, and Alabama.

Agard made that commitment during a ceremony with family and friends. A video from the announcement is now going viral.

The defensive back hails from Philadelphia, and he ranks as a top 300 player according to both the ESPN and Rivals recruiting services. The 2024 prospect held offers from many of the nation’s top football programs, but his choice came down to a select few.

On Saturday night, Agard laid out hats from those top suitors, which consisted of Clemson, Michigan, Alabama, Penn State, and Tennessee. You’ll notice that Wisconsin is nowhere to be found on that presumed commitment list.

As the defender stands up to make his pick, he grabs a Clemson hat at the front of the table. He then debates putting it on before the audience hears “Jump Around” blast across the venue speakers.

If you’ve watched Wisconsin football games in the past, you’re familiar with gameday tradition.

If the song wasn’t obvious enough, the crowd got full confirmation on Agard’s choice a few brief moments later.

As the music plays throughout the building, the defensive back tosses his Tigers cap aside and the Wisconsin Badgers mascot storms into sight. The scene is absolutely electric.

Many were quick to react to the Wisconsin commitment announcement. Here’s what the college football world was saying.

The Badger Barstool account wrote, “Hardest commitment video I’ve EVER SEEN!” while company personality Big Cat commented, “This rules.”

ESPN’s Madison site said, “GOATED ANNOUNCEMENT.”

This fan posted, “They Flew Bucky out!!! Wisconsin is on Fire!”

With the latest addition, the Badgers’ 2024 recruiting class improved to 27th according to both On3 and 24/7 Sports.
