One NFL Team Named As Potential Suitor For Kyler Murray

The Arizona Cardinals could find themselves in a very interesting position after the upcoming NFL season.

They recently began a rebuild and could end up with both the 1st and 2nd picks in next year’s NFL Draft.

The top 2 prospects in that draft are currently projected to be a pair of quarterbacks.

The Cardinals already have a pretty good one of those who is only 4 years into his career.

Kyler Murray has already earned a couple of Pro Bowl nods and led the Cardinals to a playoff appearance.

It wouldn’t be something new for the Cardinals to move on from a QB they recently spent an early draft pick on to go get new one.

They drafted Kyler Murray a year after they spent a top 10 pick on Josh Rosen and traded Rosen.

If they spend a top 2 pick on a QB next year, they’ll need to find a trade partner for Murray.

It looks like there’s one team out there who could be a good fit for Murray.

On a recent episode of “Purple Insider”, Matthew Coller named the Minnesota Vikings as a potential suitor for the star QB.

“The Kyler Murray thing, I think there’s some potential there if the Vikings are moving on from Kirk Cousins but they win too many games to get a high draft pick,” Coller said.

Coller added, “It’s not completely absurd to think that could be something of interest for the Vikings. The most likely scenario remains… the Vikings draft somebody [to succeed Cousins], but if they end up with 10 wins and they’re in the playoffs and they can’t get one of the top quarterbacks [in the draft], then what do you do? You start investigating other ways around that.”

Kyler Murray heading to the Minnesota Vikings would be an interesting next step for him.

He’d have the best supporting cast of his career in Minnesota. The team has one of the league’s best receivers and one of its best tight ends. They also have KJ Osborn, who has been a solid 3rd option the past couple of seasons and spent a 1st round pick on Jordan Addison this year.

Murray getting traded a year from now may not exactly sound ideal, but if he heads to the Vikings, it actually could be great for him.

A year from now, maybe we’ll see Kyler Murray heading to a playoff team in need of a QB.
