Five-star quarterback Dante Moore committed to Oregon on Friday. He is the No. 5-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2023 per On3 Sports and is a huge get for the Ducks.

Moore, who hails from Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Michigan, stands 6-foot-3, 200 pounds. His accuracy and arm strength is top-tier and he chose Oregon over offers from Texas A&M, LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Miami and Penn State, among others.

Moore is a pocket passer. He has incredible touch and an unteachable ability to layer throws and deliver them on the money with nuance.

His quick, natural release will help him succeed in the RPO and short passing game.

He also has a cannon for an arm.

And Moore can scoot when he needs to!

During Moore’s junior season, he completed 73 percent of his passes for more than 3,000 yards and 40 touchdowns, with only four interceptions. That’s downright dominant.

Behind his incredible performance, Martin Luther King won a state championship.

Moore’s commitment to Oregon is historic. He is the Duck’s highest-ranked quarterback commit of the modern recruiting era. That includes former three-stars Marcus Mariota and Justin Herbert. He is also the team’s highest-ranked offensive recruit since running back Jonathan Stewart in 2005.

Oregon hired Dan Lanning as its new head coach in the offseason. His first quarterback signing is a big one!
