Tattoos are incredibly common in this day and age. In fact, it’s not really a deterrent for companies hiring anymore.
However, there are still some tattoos out there that catch you by surprise. For Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning, that seems to be the case.
The Unnecessary Roughness podcast shared a quick video showcasing Lanning’s new tattoo. Now, first off, we’d like to acknowledge that it’s actually pretty cool to see a head coach of a football program get tatted up. However, Oregon’s coach might have gone a little too far with this one.

A lot of people get tattoos that hold some kind of sentimental value. That was clearly the case for Dan Lanning. Even so, it’s just not something you’d ever expect a college football head coach to get on his body. But hey, at least he was able to fit the Oregon Ducks logo somewhere, right?
Look, I’m no tattoo expert, but I’ve watched plenty of Ink Master through the years. I just can’t help but wonder what the judges might think of this tattoo. Or any other tattoo artists out there. Either way, it’s just a wild tattoo for someone to have. But hey, if Dan Lanning likes it, then so be it.
Perhaps this will turn into a good luck charm for the Ducks next season. It’s been a while since we last saw Oregon be truly competitive. So maybe Lanning’s tattoo will bring some luck to this football program. Who knows?
