The Oregon State Beavers are having some fun at a rival’s expense following a traitorous exit that’s put the program’s future in doubt. They were seen taking a vicious shot at the Oregon Ducks on social media ahead of the college football season opener!

That jab referenced a current Comcast dispute that could prevent a number of Oregon viewers from watching the Ducks‘ first game as Big 10 members. OSU found the irony in the situation!

Oregon, alongside a number of West Coast programs, opted to leave the PAC 12 in hopes of finding greener grass. The departures largely revolved around the conference’s inability to secure a media rights deal.

When all was said and done, 10 of 12 league members bolted, leaving Oregon State and Washington State behind to fend for themselves.

Oregon, along with Washington, USC, and UCLA, landed in the Big 10.

While the conference boasts the largest television deal in college sports, those new members are running into issues with college football season set to kick off.

A Comcast dispute could prevent Oregon fans from watching the opener!

Comcast is reportedly blacking out live games involving new members being aired on the Big 10 Network. Guess who plays on the BTN in its season opener…

The Oregon Ducks!

Subscribers on the West Coast could be unable to watch the team’s Big 10 debut, which is rather ironic when you think about it.

Oregon left the PAC 12 due to TV disputes – some of which were directly tied to Comcast. Now, fans can’t watch their favorite school due to a battle with that same television provider.

That irony wasn’t lost on the Beavers!

Oregon State fans won’t have those same viewing issues with their opener vs. Idaho State set to air on The CW.

We’ll see if fan outrage is enough to make Comcast rethink the blackouts and provide Big 10 Network viewers with live action.
