The Orlando Magic are going to have some roster issues for their next couple of games.

Most of their roster has been issued a suspension by the NBA as a result of their fight with the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.

The fight was instigated by Moritz Wagner when he hip-checked Killian Hayes into the Pistons’ bench late in the 2nd quarter. Hayes retaliated by punching Wagner in the back of the head, which appeared to knock Wagner out.

A bunch of Magic players ran over to the Pistons’ bench area to break up the fight ad things eventually calmed down. The incident led to the ejections of Wagner, Hayes, and Hamidou Diallo.

The NBA has now revealed the list of players who will be serving suspensions as a result of Wednesday night’s incident.

For the Detroit Pistons, Killian Hayes received a 3-game suspension for the punch while Diallo received a 1-game suspension for his role in the altercation.

The punishment was a bit worse for the Orlando Magic.

Moritz Wagner received a 2-game suspension for his hip check and 8 of his teammates also received suspensions for leaving the bench during the altercation.

Those 8 players are Gary Harris, Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton, Kevon Harris, Admiral Schofield, Franz Wagner, Mo Bamba, and Wendell Carter.

The NBA requires that teams have 8 healthy players available for games, which means that these suspension will have to be served over the course of 2 games.

Anthony, Gary Harris, Bamba, Carter Jr, and Hampton will be suspended tonight as the Magic take on the Washington Wizards. Kevon Harris, Schofield, and Franz Wagner will all serve their suspension on January 4th when the Magic play the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With so many players missing, it could be a tough couple of games for the Orlando Magic.
