The NFL’s concussion protocols are put in place to protect players from major head injuries but it seems like there are still cracks in the system.
In the fourth quarter of the Sunday Night Football game between the Packers and Niners, Green Bay wide receiver Davante Adams took a huge hit to the head and laid motionless on the ground for about two minutes.
How on earth was there no flag on this?!? Davante Adams is still down. Wow.

Despite the fact that Adams was knocked out cold, he was allowed back in the game just a few plays later. Fans were not happy about officials allowing Adams back into the game despite the fact that he took a huge hit just moments earlier.
How the heck was Adams back on the field two plays later? That’s irresponsible at best.

How Adams is immediately back on the field is beyond me as well

DaVante Adams; How do I know that he didn’t properly get evaluated?
The minimum allotted time to properly evaluate a concussion is 7 minutes. There’s no way he was off the field for 7 minutes.
He should have been evaluated by at least 2 docs. 1 an independent neurologist.

Update: Adams was asked about the hit after the game.
On the vicious hit he took, Davante Adams says he was having trouble breathing more than anything. It was more of a chest thing, not a concussion.
Reporter asks how were you able to come back in after just one play.
Adams: “Because I’m different.”
