There appears to be a bit of bad blood between former UFC friends. Ahead of UFC 314 in Miami, Conor McGregor revealed that he put a $500k bet on Michael Chandler to beat Paddy Pimblett.

Unfortunately for McGregor, he lost his $500k after Pimblett put an absolute beatdown on Chandler.

After his win, Pimblett called out McGregor for betting on Chandler to beat him considering their history.

“Anyone can get it. Even McGregor,” Pimblett said. “Putting money on Chandler to win, lad. The Irish-Scouse connection. He’s meant to back me and he never [does]. So if he wants it, he’ll get muffed ears as well.

“I didn’t think he’d go against me, to be honest. I thought he’d back me, lad. Not back Chandler. One of them, innit? What happened there, lad? … If he ever wants to come back, I’ll be here waiting.”

Pimblett would later blast McGregor during an interview with TNT Sports.

“Oh yeah? He probably said he put a bet on Chandler by knockout,” Pimblett said. “What happened Conor, eh? Should have mentioned him in the cage, you little lizard. I thought you would’ve backed your own, lad. Irish and Scouse. If you are coming back, lad, let’s do it. Wembley, Croke Park. I’m after you as well.”
