Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett (19-3-0) is all set to face Jared Gordon (19-5-0) at UFC 282 in Las Vegas on Saturday, December 10th. This is a huge fight and a stepping stone in his pursuit of a UFC Championship title belt.

Meanwhile, Paddy Pimblett simply cannot shake Jake Paul from running his mouth. Jake Paul recently dangled $1 million in front of Paddy Pimblett’s face if ‘The Baddy’ could beat Jake while sparring. Paddy initially responded that he’d definitely take up Jake’s offer when the timing was right and not immediately before an actual UFC fight.

Jake Paul kept pushing. And now Paddy has thrown it back at Jake Paul, pointing out that you don’t ‘win’ a spar. It’s sparring. And that he’s not going to dance around on Jake Paul’s terms and he’ll happily do it when the timing is right. Paddy Pimblett said all this while speaking with Daniel Cormier, and ‘The Baddy’ also issued a threat to Jake Paul should he show up at UFC 282:

Paddy Pimblett said:

“How do you win a spar? I don’t understand it. But as I say, I’m fighting Saturday. I said I’ll chill Sunday and get some food in me, you’re more than welcome to come to the [UFC] P.I. (Performance Institute) on Monday and I’ll beat you up. He said, ‘Oh, I got meetings with the WBA (World Boxing Association),’ or something stupid, something along them lines.”

“I’m not doing nothing on his terms, it’s that simple. If he’s at the show on Saturday and I walk past him, I’ll just go whoop (slaps hand). I can assault people, lad, and I’ll assault him. I’ll just slap him across the face. I’ll pimp slap him.”

Jake Paul is usually a master at self-promotion but this back-and-forth with Paddy Pimblett is pretty pathetic. It’s so transparent and obvious that Jake only wants to disrupt the UFC’s event and leach off the hype around Paddy Pimblett.

Jake’s a huge star, he really should just sit this one out. Or if he really wants to pay Paddy Pimblett $1 million to spar then he should lay out some actual parameters for what ‘winning’ while sparring means and acquiesce to Paddy Pimblett’s schedule. Otherwise it continues to look like Jake just wants to run his mouth and not actually test himself against The Baddy.

Paddy Pimblett also put Ariel Helwani on blast

Paddy ‘The Baddy’ has had a busy week with the media. Prior to hopping on camera with Daniel Cormier, Paddy Pimblett hosted his own boss, Dana White, on his podcast.

Pimblett took that opportunity to blast MMA journalist Ariel Helwani:

After that interview went live, Helwania almost immediately responded to Paddy’s comments in a long Twitter thread, of which here is the first video:

Meanwhile, Paddy seems geared up for this bout against Jared Gordon. Jake Paul would be wise to not show up at UFC 282 in Las Vegas. Which he can’t anyways because Dana White has banned him from all UFC events.
