The World Series is right around the corner as the Phillies and Astros look to take home a title. Golf personality Paige Spiranac seems excited for the upcoming set, and she’s prepping baseball fans for what should be an entertaining matchup.

In a recent viral video on Twitter, Spiranac shared a few tips for baseball viewers as she laid out some of the sport’s lingo.

“Hello everyone and welcome back to ‘Basics with Paige,'” she began the clip in a segment that’s become a staple in her of arsenal social media content. She’s done similar pieces for both football and golf.

“Since the World Series is right around the corner, let’s talk about some baseball basics,” Spiranac continued before going on to explain some popular terms often heard on the diamond.

The influencer defined what a slugger, cleanup hitter, and frozen rope are, things that all baseball viewers should be familiar with before tuning into the action. She then reeled off a variety of different monikers for a home run, which we’ll hopefully see a lot of in the coming series.

This isn’t Paige Spiranac’s first time on the baseball diamond. She threw out the first pitch at a Brewers game earlier this year.

Unfortunately, that appearance was met with a number of negative responses centered at body shaming the influencer online. Spiranac made light work of the trolls while impressing her followers on the mound.

Spiranac’s parents are both from Pittsburgh, which may have her rooting against the crosstown Phillies in this year’s edition of the World Series.

Philadelphia and Houston square off in their seven-game set this weekend with Game 1 taking place Friday night. First pitch is scheduled for 8 PM ET as each side looks to land a championship crown.
