Golf influencer Paige Spiranac spoke out in defense of Justin Thomas today. JT finished Round 2 of the Open Championship tied for a dismal 139th place at +11.

His woes began early on Thursday when Justin fired a first round score of 82 that included three double bogeys and five bogeys, and just 2 birdies.

Paige Spiranac was quick to defend Justin’s critics saying that he’s ‘overrated.’ She points out that he is a 2-time Major Championship winner with 15 total professional wins.

JT has won $53,968,303 on the course. That right there should be the end of the discussion. He ranks 10th all time on the PGA Tour Money List. Justin Thomas also led the PGA Tour Money List in 2017, 2018, and 2020.

To call him ‘overrated’ is simply showing that you know nothing about golf. Everyone has ups and downs in their game and he’s in a downswing. JT also turned in an even par 71 in his second round at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club.

Paige Spiranac Shows Off Her Golf Skills On The Course

As a reminder, Paige Spiranac is a very good golfer. She once again showcased her skills with a video from the course. This time she was playing at Highlands Ranch in Denver, Colorado:

Paige had been noticeably quiet on YouTube and Instagram prior to sharing that video from Highlands Ranch. Her last post on Instagram came back on July 10th when she showed this rear shot from the range:

In that, she asked ‘9 or 18 holes’ then went on to say 12 is the perfect number of holes to play. I’d add that it’s entirely dependent on the weather. 18 holes is the best when the weather is right. During these heat waves, 9 holes is more than enough.

Spiranac posted her Open Championship picks on Twitter. She called Tommy Fleetwood a ‘Cinderella story.’ Tommy is sitting in 2nd position as of lunchtime on Friday. Not a bad pick.
