Diehard World Cup fan slash popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac appears to have taken a nice little shot at LIV Golf on Twitter.

On Tuesday, the Masters announced that LIV Golf Tour members are eligible to compete in the invitation-only Major Championship.

This means former Masters champions like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, and Charl Schwartzel can all come back and play the PGA Tour event even though they have been banned by the organization for joining LIV Golf.

Other LIV Golf players such as Cameron Smith, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka will also be eligible to play, having won Majors in recent years.

Spiranac, who usually reserves her social media posts for videos of her in one of her patented “golf girl” outfits, saw the announcement and decided to make a timely snide tweet utilizing a scene from the World Cup celebration.

“LIV golfers trying to say hi to Rory at The Masters,” she captioned the video.

That clip would be Leo Messi punking Salt Bae by giving him the cold shoulder during after the World Cup final.

Rory McIlroy has been one of the most vocal defendants of the PGA Tour and has expressed much anger towards LIV Golf since it began.

Recently, McIlroy expressed why he dislikes LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman so much.

After having a good conversation this spring, Rory says Norman turned around and told the media that McIlroy had been “brainwashed by the PGA Tour.”

“I thought, ‘You know what? I’m going to make it my business now to be as much of a pain in his arse as possible,'” Rory said, and he has.

Perhaps Spiranac’s Messi-Salt Bae analogy won’t be that far off come next April when her favorite sporting event returns to Augusta.
