Original Story:

The 0-5 Panthers season didn’t start off as they expected and they could be unloading some talented players ahead of the trade deadline at the end of the month.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, it seems the Panthers are considering trading away some of their key players for future draft picks.

Standout pass-rusher Brian Burns is the biggest name. He’s been a subject of trade rumors in the past, and the team even turned down a tempting offer from the Rams last season of two 1st round picks and a 2nd for him.

Breer then noted he heard of other top players available for trade: Cornerback Donte Jackson, Safety Jeremy Chinn, wide receiver Terrace Marshall.

Breer noted that Jeremy Chinn, a versatile hybrid linebacker, has lost playing time in the recent defensive scheme change and is in the final year of his contract. Terrace Marshall Jr., a second-round pick with potential, is yet to establish himself as a pro player. On the other hand, Donte Jackson, a very talented cornerback with elite speed trait, is under contract through 2024 at a reasonable price.

The Panthers could find themselves fall to an 0-6 record after facing the 4-1 Dolphins on Sunday, with a Week 7 bye coming right after. We could see major changes from them when they return to play after that.
