Update 1:

Original Story:

The NFL trade deadline is rapidly approaching (Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 4 p.m. ET), and there’s a flurry of reports circulating about various players in the league.

According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Denver Broncos have been quite active on the trading front.

They recently shipped off defensive end Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week. Now, their other defensive end, Frank Clark, is drawing interest among teams across the league. Clark had been nursing a hip injury since the season opener, but word has it that he’s all healed up and expected to suit up against the New York Jets today.

According to Adam Schefter, many league sources believe the Broncos would be willing to listen to trade interest in “Almost any player on the Defensive side” of the ball.

Over at The Athletic, Dianna Russini has been dishing out some trade tidbits:

  • The Las Vegas Raiders are on the prowl for a pass rusher, having let go of Chandler Jones. They’ve been dialing up other teams, exploring potential player-for-player swaps, and they’re playing it coy about giving away too much.
  • Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers have been working the phones, showing keen interest in nabbing a wide receiver and possibly other positions. It was previously reported by Rapport they’ve been looking to add a WR1 for their rookie QB Bryce Young. Per Russini they’re open to upgrades all over the roster.
  • As for the Denver Broncos, Dianna hears that they seem content to keep their offensive players in place for the time being, This stance comes despite the offseason trade buzz around wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.
  • Lastly, the Houston Texans have been fielding calls from teams in need of a seasoned quarterback. However, it seems backup Case Keenum is off the market.
The Texans are leaning on his experience and veteran leadership in their quarterback room and to mentor rookie 2nd overall pick, C.J. Stroud, who’s having a great start to his career.

Like in every other year, there’s a good chance no big move ends up happening but we’ve seen our fair share of interesting trades as well from time to time, let’s see how this one plays out as certain teams who had high hopes for their season realize that they might miss the playoffs.
