Adam Schefter and Pat McAfee have donated to a GoFundMe ESPN Draft analyst Matt Miller
Matt Miller, a draft analyst for ESPN who had to have his arm amputated after a car accident, has had a GoFundMe set up to help pay for his medical expenses. ESPN personalities such as Pat McAfee and Adam Schefter have donated to the fundraiser.
The former Indianapolis Colts punter and popular radio host contributed $5,525 to the cause — whom is reportedly in talks with ESPN over a contract renewal in the reported neighborhood of $60 million per year — while Adam Schefter donated $1,000 (a viral post on X/Twitter suggesting he donated $100 is fake).

Other ESPN personalities and writers that have contributed to the GoFundMe include Field Yates ($250), Pete Thamel ($500), Jeremy Fowler ($250), Mina Kimes ($250), Laura Rutledge ($500, her husband Josh made the donation), Bill Barnwell ($250) Wright Thompson ($500), and more.
According to the GoFundMe, Miller “suffered a compound fracture of his left femur, a shattered left kneecap, multiple broken ribs, and lost a significant amount of blood. To save his life, doctors performed an emergency amputation of his left arm. Remarkably, his head, neck, and spine were spared serious injury.”
Miller shared an update on Friday, June 26 ahead of having a key surgery that will determine whether his shoulder can support a prosthetic arm.

When he shared news of the accident on social media, Miller stated that he intends to return to work at ESPN by next year “talk football, including what should be an exciting 2027 NFL Draft class.”
At the time of this writing, around 5 p.m. EST on Friday, June 26, Miller’s GoFundMe has raised over $40,000 of its $55,000 donation goal.
