Aaron Rodgers wants you to know that Aaron Rodgers is still thinking about the COVID vaccine.

During his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show this week, Rodgers again made a reference to the vaccine and Dr. Fauci, this time by saying he dressed up as a “spike protein” for Halloween.

In case you don’t know or remember what a spike protein is — don’t worry, most of us other than Aaron Rodgers don’t — Heart.org explains that it “facilitates virus entry into healthy cells, which is the first step in infection.”

As Rodgers was doing his weekly vaccine routine, however, the feed — which has since turned out to be from just one service provider — was extremely disrupted.

On Wednesday, while speaking to Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl linebacker TJ Watt, McAfee weighed in on the feed-cutting conspiracy, saying that it only happened with one provider, while also taking a shot at one of the NFL news aggregation accounts on Twitter.

“One provider. That’s fake news,” McAfee told Watt. “Don’t listen to everything MLFootball says on the internet. Can’t do that. That was only one provider.”

McAfee also revealed that Rodgers got wind of the broadcast cutting out and that he texted him to inquire about it.

“But Aaron did text me. He was like, ‘Heard we got cut off?’” McAfee said.

The mention of the spike protein is just Rodgers’ latest mention of vaccine-related topics in recent weeks, which began when he took an unprovoked shot at Travis Kelce by calling him Mr. Pfizer (despite the fact that he works for Woody Johnson, a pharmaceutical industry titan).

Rodgers then continued to beat the vaccine drum in subsequent weeks by challenging Kelce and Fauci to a “vaccine debate” against him and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and claiming that if Fauci stands for science then “damn right he’s defying science.”

Speaking of science, Rodgers is currently attempting to make a virtually historic return from his Achilles injury as all signs point to him suiting back up in an NFL game this season despite suffering the injury on September 11.
