Oregon tight end Patrick Herbert, little brother of Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, had a big game against Washington on Saturday afternoon. He also looks exactly like his big brother, if his big brother was wearing a mustache to go undercover.
Patrick, a fifth-year junior, grew up in Eugene just like Justin. They both chose to stay home and play for the Ducks.
Patrick stands 6-foot-5, 255 pounds and plays tight end. Justin was listed at 6-foot-6, 237 pounds as a senior in college.
Through the first five games of the 2023 college football season, Patrick had recorded just six catches for 66 yards without a touchdown. His biggest game came against Texas Tech when he caught three passes for 34 yards.
He saw a far more important role early during the top-10, Pac-12 matchup in Seattle!
It started when Patrick took a direct snap out of the backfield and scampered into the end zone for a two-point conversion after the first Ducks touchdown of the game. Not long thereafter, Patrick caught an 11-yard touchdown to tie the game in the second quarter.
To put things in perspective. Bo Nix played his first college game against Justin Herbert while at Auburn in 2019. Now, five years later, he is throwing touchdowns to Justin’s younger brother at Justin’s alma mater.
Justin and Patrick look exactly alike.

Patrick looks like Justin, if Justin had to enter into a witness protection program. If you showed someone who didn’t know football both photos of the two Herbert brothers and told him or her that the brothers are the same person, he or she would absolutely believe you.
