At the Kansas City Chiefs‘ practice on Thursday, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes had an unexpected encounter with a bee that left him visibly rattled.
The usually composed and unflappable Mahomes was caught on camera panicking when the bee invaded their meeting during the workout session.
As the bee buzzed around, Patrick Mahomes, along with backup QB Shane Buechele and Chiefs’ staff, couldn’t hide their discomfort.
The video captured Mahomes frantically running in circles, trying to escape from the tiny but formidable insect.
Despite the initial scare, Mahomes managed to escape the bee’s pursuit unharmed. After the incident, he took to Twitter to share a lighthearted reaction, saying, “I don’t mess with bees 🤣🤣.”

Known for his fearlessness on the football field, it almost appears that Patrick Mahomes has found his match in bees.
The incident, however amusing, serves as a reminder that even the toughest athletes can have their moments of vulnerability when confronted with unexpected encounters from nature.
As the team continues its preparations for the upcoming season, one can only hope that the practice fields remain bee-free to avoid any more unscripted excitement.
