After Patrick Reed reportedly flicked a tee at Rory McIlroy after Rory snubbed him on the practice range it seemed like the world of golf was making a mountain out of a molehill.
Rory McIlroy and Patrick Reed are both in Dubai this week to compete in the DP World Tour’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. This is the first time in a while that PGA Tour and LIV Golf Tour members have intermingled.
Video emerged of ‘tee gate’ where Patrick Reed tossed a tee in Rory’s direction after McIlroy ignored him.

Much ado about nothing, right? Well… Rory later added context that Patrick Reed’s lawyer subpoenaed him on Christmas Eve while Rory was having a nice holiday with his family.
Rory: "I was subpoenaed by his lawyer on Christmas Eve. Trying to have a nice time with my family and someone shows up on your doorstep and delivers that, you're not going to take that well. I'm living in reality, I don't know where [Reed is] living."

Patrick Reed’s Petty Comment About Rory McIlroy ‘Tee Gate’
Patrick Reed has now tried to take control of the ‘Tee Gate’ narrative. He said he flicked one of his tees at Rory because of the LIV Golf branding. He then said Rory was acting ‘like an immature child’.

Patrick Reed, the guy who flicked a LIV Golf tee at Rory McIlroy after Rory ignored him, after Patrick’s lawyer served Rory papers on Christmas Eve while Rory was celebrating with his family, HE THINKS that Rory is the one ‘acting like an immature child’ for ignoring Patrick Reed.
The mental gymnastics here are unbelievable. A complete lack of social awareness is on display.
