Everybody has been focusing on Bill Belichick chasing that all-time win record in the NFL. But, guess what? He’s actually getting pretty close to the all-time losing record. Yep, you heard that right.
Belichick is just 8 losses away from hitting 165 regular season losses, which would put tie him with Jeff Fisher and Dan Reeves.
The Patriots are struggling this season, with a 1-5 record. And it doesn’t look too rosy with the Bills and Dolphins coming up in the next two weeks. We might actually witness him losing all 8 of those games this season, given how he’s been doing lately.
It really makes you appreciate how much Tom Brady used to cover up for Belichick’s weaknesses. With Brady on his side, Belichick’s record was a fantastic 219-64. But, when Brady left, it’s been a whole different story: 80-93.

In the grand scheme of things, if the Patriots continue playing like they have in the first six games, Belichick might end up owning a record that he’d probably rather not have. After the recent loss to the Raiders, his coaching career record stands at 299-157.
It’s a bit surprising when you think about it. Bill Belichick, often hailed as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, losing so much. But the stats don’t lie, and they also show just how much he relied on Tom Brady.
With Brady, he was a coaching genius, but without him, well, the numbers don’t look too flattering.
