Jalen Reagor has joined the New England Patriots’ practice squad after being released by the Minnesota Vikings and subsequently clearing waivers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This signing comes just in time for the Patriots‘ Week 1 game against Reagor’s former team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 2020 first-round pick was infamously selected by the Eagles just one spot ahead of Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson, who’s arguably the best player in his position today.

Reagor’s time with the Eagles was marked by ups and downs, and he was eventually traded to the Vikings during the 2022 season. His tenure in Minnesota was short-lived as he was recently released during the final roster cuts, leading him to the Patriots’ practice squad.

Throughout his career, Reagor caught 72 passes, for 799 receiving yards and added 4 touchdowns. His versatility also extended to the return game, where he made notable contributions.
