For the past two weeks, Paul George has been at the center of several trade rumors but it seems like PG just wants to be a Laker when it’s all said and done. According to a report from the LA Times, George is still telling his friends about playing in L.A. after next season.

According to people not authorized to speak publicly, George, a Palmdale native, is still telling friends that he intends to be a Laker in 2018. Because of that, he knows the Lakers have little incentive to trade for him now.
The Lakers would be wise to just sit it out this offseason and let George fall into their lap next year because it doesn’t seem there are any teams out there that can steal him away.
