UNC guard Paxson Wojcik had some fun with NCAA Tournament reporters over the weekend, playing into a rumor that he’s dating Kylie Jenner. Those whispers were sparked due to his NIL ties with SKIMS, a clothing company founded by Jenner’s older Kim Kardashian.

The rumors have little substance, but that didn’t stop Wojcik from playing to the crowd.

Amid North Carolina’s March Madness run, he was asked about receiving direct messages from the reality television star, who’s currently in a relationship with actor Timothee Chalamet.

“What do you have to say about rumors that Kylie slid into your DMs?” a media member asked after one of the Tar Heels’ tournament wins.

“I can’t speak on it,” he slyly replied in a video obtained by TMZ. “No comment… We’re headed out to LA next week, though.”

Wojcik was referencing a matchup against Alabama that will take place in Southern California on Thursday. Should they win the Sweet 16 contest, it’s off to the Elite Eight as they continue to chase a national championship.

Paxson Wojcik apologized after the fact, saying that the joking was inappropriate.

As previously mentioned, Kylie Jenner is currently in a steady relationship. Wojcik’s agent TJ Beisner confirmed the apology through a statement, saying the rumors are baseless.

Beisner told TMZ that Wojcik “has not spoken with Kylie” and the UNC guard “now realizes he was inappropriate with his joking.”

Maybe not the best idea to joke about dating a business partner, in hindsight!

Wojcik is one of a number of college basketball stars to land NIL deals with SKIMS, including former UNC guard Caleb Love, Kentucky’s Rob Dillingham, and UCONN’s Donovan Clingan.

Paxson will look to avoid distraction from the recent headline as the Tar Heels continue through the NCAA Tournament.
