This weekend is Penn State-Ohio State weekend in Happy Valley. That means student section camp outs at Nittanyville and Beaver Stadium in full whiteout mode and an entire state and an entire region hell-bent on trampling the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes.
It’s pretty easy to write off Penn State football after losses to Michigan and Pittsburgh. But hey, it’s college football. ANYTHING can happen — I’ve witnessed some all-time great moments of Penn State upsetting Ohio State. 2005 as a huge underdog, for example, while hot off a big win against Minnesota. It was the very first Whiteout game and probably the most bananas sports environment ever to exist. Then, in 2008, there was the outpouring in the streets of State College after PSU beat the Buckeyes at The ‘Shoe.
