Pete Davidson hit the floor for practice with the UNLV basketball team on Wednesday, and to many fans’ surprise, he held his own. Most were shocked to see that the actor/comedian could actually hoop as he showed off his handles and ability to get to the rim.

Davidson is typically seen in Madison Square Garden when it comes to the hardwood where he roots on the New York Knicks. He often sits courtside alongside either his SNL castmates or flavor of the week.

In fact, he’s made headlines a number of times in while attending games in New York, most recently being seen shoving an overzealous Knicks fan trying to give him an unwanted hug.

He’s also previously been heard getting booed out of the arena at Syracuse University. That reaction coming due to some less than complimentary comments about the city as a whole.

“Syracuse, you know, it’s trash. Worse than Staten Island.” -Pete Davidson during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show in 2018.

When he’s not seen antagonizing upstate New York or acting on the big screen, he apparently spends some time hooping.

Davidson suited up with the UNLV basketball team this week, and he didn’t look half bad.

In fact, most fans were blown away by his skills on the court. Take a look at a few of the top reactions to the highlight reel.

One person wrote, “Dude can low key kinda play. Not bad.”

Another said, “I never knew.”

This fan recognized the talent, commenting, “He clearly balled back in day. Not bad. Good feel of the game.”

Apparently, it runs in the family. His sister played college hoops at Marist College in Poughkeepsie.

I had no idea.

Davidson definitely shows some skill on the floor. I’ll expect an appearance in the next celebrity basketball game come NBA All-Star weekend.
