The PGA Tour, just like all other professional sports organizations around the world, had to make some serious adjustments in response to the virus. When it comes to scheduling adjustments, the Tour had to cancel and not reschedule a total of 11 tournaments on the 2019-20 slate.

On Wednesday the Tour announced the new-look 2020-21 schedule and all 11 of those events, plus a few other additions, will take place next season. In total, this upcoming season’s schedule will feature 50 official tournaments, the most since 51 events were held in 1975.

PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan referred to next year’s schedule as a ‘super season’ and he’s not wrong.

The new season technically begins next week at the Safeway Open which leads up to the U.S. Open at Winged Foot as it had to be rescheduled earlier this year.
