No one is safe this NBA offseason, not even franchise players who were considered untouchable just a few months ago. Early this morning, Yahoo NBA insider Adrian Wojnaroskwi dropped a massive bomb when he revealed that Phil Jackson and the Knicks were open to trade Kristaps Porzingis for a top draft pick in this year’s NBA draft.

Sources: Phil Jackson met with Lauri Markkanen in New York on Monday, a player whom he's considering at No. 8 should Knicks move Porzingis. https://t.co/44d8EqMoBm

I’m not sure what Phil is doing but this move will definitely not sit well with Knicks fans who have become enamored with Porzingis over the past few years.
If Phil Jackson thinks Lauri Markkanen is a replacement for Kristaps Porzingis, somebody needs to stage an intervention.

Update: The New York Post spoke with the Knicks and they are refuting Wojnarowski’s report.
League sources in touch with the Knicks say the club has not dismissed the possibility of trading Kristaps Porzingis in recent conversations
