Philadelphia Phillies Fans Wage All Out War On Braves Mascot Blooper Causing Him To Break Character

Philadelphia Phillies are, in fact, a different breed.

One on hand, you get the good that comes with that to create one of, if not the best atmosphere in Major League Baseball.

There’s also a bit of bad that comes with that, which leads to some shenanigans that may not be the most flattering look across the league.

We saw a little bit of both sides on Friday when Phillies fans waged an all out war on Atlanta Braves mascot, leading the fluffy…erm, whatever Blooper is, to break character in order to argue back on Twitter.

It all started innocuously enough, with Blooper tweeting “one more day” until the Phillies and Braves meet in the NLDS.

Phillies fan @EricJFink (of Fink’s Hoagies fame) then jokingly quote tweeted the mascot, adding “til your death.”

Well, that seem to set Blooper off. Because he then proceeded to break character in order to respond.

“My favorite thing about Philly fans is how well adjusted they are, probably the most even keel fanbase out there,” he wrote.

That tweet was at 11:43 a.m. ET.

The mascot then spent the next two hours tweeting back and forth to countless Phillies fans. Which he (or she, or they) seemed to thing was pretty normal behavior.

Then again, just last year around this time Blooper could be found on a football field throwing a vicious stiff arm at a small child.

That incident came just months as the Phillies knocked the Braves out of the playoffs in the 2022 NLDS. So it seems apparent there’s some unresolved anger there.

This year, the Braves have undeniably been the best team in baseball. But the Phillies head into the NLDS with an immeasurable amount of good vibes.

Who will win out? Time will tell.

But either way it may be time for Blooper to seek help.
