While filming a “Man on the Street” speaking to sports fans after a win/loss is certainly nothing new, doing so after a brutal Game 7 loss in PHILADELPHIA following a major Phillies defeat makes the content feel fresh nonetheless.

Why? Because no sports town in this country knows how to voice their frustration quite like Philadelphians, that’s why.

Despite entering Monday night’s Game 6 with a 3-2 lead in the series and having two chances to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks at home, the Phillies lost back-to-back games to D’Backs in front of their home crowd, thus resulting in the patented Philly fervor you’ll see in the below video.

“Phillies need to sell Trea Turner, guy’s a f—— idiot. We went farther without that guy. F— the Phillies, honestly,” said a teenager.

“I wanna say that I’m f—— depressed. I had to ask nine people for this f—— cigarette!” decried one woman.

“I hope they never play a f—— baseball game again,” hoped one dude.

As a result of the Phillies’ 4-2 Game 7 loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night, the 2023 World Series will now feature the D’Backs against the Texas Rangers — who also made their way to the Fall Classic via a 7-game-long Championship Series win — which obviously isn’t an ideal matchup in terms of getting and holding the attention of neutral fans.

The 2023 World Series between the sixth-seeded Arizona Diamondbacks and fifth-seeded Texas Rangers will take place in Texas on Friday, October 27 at 8 p.m. Just like they have been throughout the entirety of their playoff run, the Diamonds are the underdogs in the matchup.
