This year’s NBA playoffs have had some really great games and performances. Yes, there have been a lot of blowouts, too, but overall it’s been a great playoff as we get closer and closer to crowning a champion. And, just hours after the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers played a classic, the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets may have topped that with an incredible display of basketball that has everyone buzzing.

Coming into last night’s game 4, the series between the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns was 2-1, with Denver having won both of their home games before Phoenix won on home turf Friday night. And, game 4 was set up to be a pivotal one between teams that many consider to be the best remaining in the playoffs. The game ended with the Suns winning 129-124, but the story is really about the quality of the game.

It did not disappoint. The stars of both teams played incredible basketball. The Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray and the Phoenix Suns’ Kevin Durant and Devin Booker combined for an incredible 153 points. Jokic was incredible in the loss, and he had an astounding 53 points, 11 assists and 4 rebounds on 20-30 shooting.

Murray chipped in with 28 of his own.

But, the Phoenix Suns duo of Kevin Durant were equally brilliant. Just one game after an incredible 20-25 shooting performance, Booker went 14-18 from the floor Sunday night and added 36 points, the same amount of points that Kevin Durant had as well.

People on Twitter and Reddit were in awe of how well-played the game was.

Here are some glowing comments from Reddit.

“I didn’t want that game to finish. What a performance from Jokić and Booker.”

Book and KD together is basketball poetry

And, Twitter had similar sentiments.

Game 5 between the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets returns to the Rockies Tuesday night.
