Longtime NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski announced last week that he was going to be auctioning off memorabilia from his reporting career. Included among the items he was planning to sell were several phones he used to reveal some significant “Woj Bombs.”
In his announcement of the sale, Adrian Wojnarowski, now the general manager of the men’s basketball team at his alma mater St. Bonaventure University, said the proceeds raised from the auction would go towards an NIL fund for the program.
Well, the “Woj Collection” auction on PutABounty.com is now over, having ended on March 3, and here are the results…
• 2021 NBA Finals (Suns vs. Bucks) credential: $750
• 2024 NBA Finals (Mavericks vs. Celtics) credential: $900
• 2023 NBA Draft (Victor Wembanyama draft) credential: $925
• 2023 NBA All-Star Game (Team Giannis vs. Team LeBron) credential: $1,000
• 2024 NBA Draft (top pick: Zaccharie Risacher) credential: $1,400
• iPhone used for farewell post and final NBA Draft: $1,750
• iPhone used for the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery and NBA Draft: $2,700
• iPhone used to break the news that the NBA had suspended its season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020: $3,250
Plus, the iPhone used to report the three-team trade involving Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Anthony Davis in 2019 went for the most money: $5,000.
Unfortunately for Adrian Wojnarowski, his ESPN ID badge failed to sell on the auction site. So, all in all, he was able to raise $17,675 for the Bonnies’ men’s basketball program.
While that may not be a lot of NIL money to a major college basketball program, it isn’t too bad for a bunch of stuff that otherwise would have probably just been sitting in a drawer in Adrian Wojnarowski’s home or office collecting dust.
Plus, the auctions for “Dinner With Woj” and a “Video Call With Woj” are still accepting bids, so if you and and a group of up to five friends want to eat a meal or have a Zoom call with the former NBA insider there is still time to make an offer.
