Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens is a very talented player, no doubt about it. But, he often seemingly has attitude problems, and that was on display when he was caught pouting in the second half of the team’s Thursday Night Football game against the New England Patriots.

Pickens was open in the end zone on a crucial 4th and 2 play in the red zone that was ultimately unsuccessful, and he was unhappy about it.

I can’t really blame him, to be honest. The Steelers’ offense is downright horrendous, and a player of his caliber should be getting more opportunities.

Coming into tonight’s game, he had 44 catches for 748 yards and 3 touchdowns through 12 games. Those are good numbers, but he has only topped sixty yards once in the past six games heading into Thursday night. And, it didn’t happen Thursday night either.

The second-year man out of Georgia had five catches for just 19 yards in another disappointing Pittsburgh offensive performance. The team lost to the lowly Patriots 21-18, and had just 264 total yards. Of those, 45 came in the final fifteen seconds when the Patriots were simply trying to let no one get behind them.

After a 7-4 start, Pittsburgh is now 7-6 after losses to two of the league’s worst teams in the standings in the Cardinals and Patriots. Things are getting dicey in Pittsburgh.
