Pittsburgh Pirates Announce Promotion Of Paul Skenes With Awesome Video

Pittsburgh Pirates fans, the day has arrived. The team announced the promotion of superstar pitching prospect Paul Skenes on Wednesay.

Skenes, the first-overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft out of LSU, will make his debut on Saturday at PNC Park against the Cubs.

Everyone knew that the righty was going to be called up sometime in the next few weeks. The struggling Pirates need a spark after a second-straight fast start to the season followed by bad baseball. Granted, the issue has not been pitching, especially starting pitching. Fellow youngster Jared Jones has established himself as one of the best pitchers in the big leagues after a just seven starts in his career.

Now, Jones will have a flame-throwing sidekick in Paul Skenes. And, the way that Pittsburgh Pirates fans found out is pretty cool. Take a look at this video.

Yeah, that’s a pretty cool video! If you think that’s cool, wait until you see Paul Skenes pitch.  He’s been unhittable this year at AAA Indianapolis. In 27.1 innings, Paul Skenes has a 0.99 ERA with a whopping 45 strikeouts. Yes, it’s the minors. But, that’s dominant.

Somehow, Paul Skenes isn’t even the most famous person in his own romantic relationship. That title goes to former LSU gymnast, model, and social media sensation Olivia Dunne. The SI Swimsuit model boasts over 10 million total social media followers and is one of the wealthiest women in sports. Recently, she helped LSU win their first-ever national title back in April.

Now, she will be watching her boyfriend live out his dream of making his major league debut as a Pittsburgh Pirate.
