With Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement becoming official, there is one prevalent topic of conversation in Pittsburgh. What will the Steelers do about their quarterback situation?

There has been plenty of speculation about their options. Some suggest a blockbuster trade for Deshaun Watson, Aaron Rodgers, or Russell Wilson. Some believe they should find a QB in the draft. Others believe they can find a free agent that can lead this team.

Earlier today, team owner Art Rooney II revealed his preference for the type of QB he wants to see lead the Steelers. Now Steelers running back Najee Harris has chimed in with 3 QBs he’d like to see replace Big Ben.

These are all names that we’ve heard thrown around as potential starters for the Steelers. However, there is only one that fits in with Rooney’s desire for a mobile QB. That would be Deshaun Watson.

There is no question that Deshaun Watson has the talent to lead this Steelers roster to success. It’s just a matter of when he’ll be available to play in the NFL again.

Rodgers would also be a strong candidate to lead the Steelers to success as he may have just finished his second consecutive MVP season.

Jimmy Garoppolo seems like the best fit to me and he’d probably be the best-case scenario for Harris. Harris made it clear that he likes Garoppolo’s attitude and we’ve seen Jimmy G within striking distance of a Super Bowl. We’ve also seen that Garoppolo has no issue operating in a run-first offense.

We’ll see how much say Harris has on the next Steelers QB, but it looks like he’s on the right track with some of his preferences.
