PJ Fleck Looked Like An Angry Toddler Throwing Objects Onto The Field During Mid-Play Tantrum

PJ Fleck acted like a child during a Minnesota football game.


The Minnesota Golden Gophers took down Washington on the road in Big 10 football action on Saturday night. Head coach PJ Fleck went viral for a few different reasons both during and after the win.

At one point in the contest, he was seen screaming angrily at officials. He believed they missed a call. Fleck threw his own flag onto the field to make a point.

The bizarre meltdown came at the end of the first quarter. Minnesota led 14-0 at the time, but Washington was threatening thanks to a long run by quarterback Demond Williams.

Fleck doesn’t believe the play should’ve counted.

The head coach thought a holding call was missed on the 18-yard run, which positioned the Washington offense in Minnesota territory.

The Huskies would score a few plays later to cut their deficit in half.

Fleck erupted on the officiating crew after throwing a yellow play sheet onto the field as Williams raced towards him on the sidelines.

Social media has since reacted to the interaction.

“Somebody put this child back in his stroller and give him his baba. What an embarrassment.”

“Totally normal behavior…”

Fleck’s explosion did not impact the ruling. No hold was called on Washington. The play stood as called.

Despite allowing a touchdown drive, Minnesota responded with a score of their own. They’d take a 21-10 lead into the half before winning by a field goal.

After the game, Fleck was seen rubbing linebacker Maverick Baranowski’s blood on his face at midfield. Baranowski was cleated on the last play of the game. Blood ran down from his mouth after he removed his helmet.

Fleck, excited to land the victory, swiped some of that blood from the defender’s face and put it on his own.

The win was Minnesota’s first in conference play on the road in nearly two years. They are now 3-1 and undefeated in the Big 10 standings.

PJ Fleck will look to build on the momentum moving ahead to October. The Golden Gophers host Michigan next Saturday.
