Newly-released police bodycam video shows former NFL defensive star Chandler Jones trying to call Tom Brady during one of his numerous bizarre encounters with law enforcement in 2023.

This particular situation took place on Nov. 27, 2023 and involved the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona. It was at least the third time in three months that Chandler Jones had exhibited behavior that required police to handcuff him.

In the video, police are seen trying to get Jones to come with them to a psychiatric facility following a court-ordered mental health petition.

At first, Chandler Jones did not want to come out of his house, but after police spoke with a female who was present at the home, the former Pro Bowl defensive end finally appeared wearing nothing but a pair of underpants.

After exiting the home, Jones rambled about the woman’s dogs biting him, but added, while sobbing, that he didn’t want her to get into any trouble.

At that point, police once again expressed that they were there because of concern for Jones’ mental well-being.

This set him off and he dropped a couple of f-bombs on the cops before going back into the house.

The next time he came out of the house, Chandler Jones asked if he could call his brother, former UFC champion Jon Jones, but never did get in contact with him.

Following that discussion, Chandler was attempting to flee to police again only to be tackled to the ground. Police placed handcuffs on Jones and asked him if he would like to contact anyone.

Using his iPad, Jones then appears to try and contact his former teammate with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady.

After finally reaching someone, police explained that they needed to take him to a psychiatric facility, which led Jones to bring up his former head coach with the Raiders, Josh McDaniels.

Chandler Jones had been previously arrested on Sept. 29, 2023 after accusing McDaniels of having Aaron Hernandez murdered at an industrial park.

During that arrest, which was also caught on video, he told police officers, “Look at me. I’m 6’5. I’m a professional athlete, bro. I have 112 sacks. I play for the Raiders.”

Prior to that arrest, Jones penned a three-page handwritten note claiming he was forced into a mental hospital against his will and “injected with (I don’t know what).”

On Oct. 17, 2023, Jones was again arrested after twice violating a domestic violence temporary protection order.

When all was said and done, police were able to get Jones into a patrol car and transport him to the medical facility “without further issues,” according to TMZ.
