Veteran tight end Kyle Rudolph, a two-time NFL Pro-Bowler, will be joining NBC Sports’ Big Ten broadcast crew for the upcoming season.

Rudolph recently confirmed that he will be calling select Big Ten games for NBC this fall, taking his first steps towards a career after playing football.

The Athletic’s Pete Samson shed light on Rudolph’s new role, with the former Notre Dame player expressing his eagerness to provide commentary for chosen Big Ten games on NBC.

Having enjoyed a successful career primarily with the Minnesota Vikings, Rudolph’s recent journey has seen him don different jerseys.

After being released by the Vikings following the 2020 season, he spent the 2021 season with the New York Giants before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 campaign.

During his time with the Buccaneers, Rudolph had the privilege of catching passes from the legendary Tom Brady, further solidifying his career as a reliable tight end.

As a free agent heading into the 2023 season, Rudolph’s future in the sport remains uncertain. At 33 years of age, he faces a pivotal decision regarding whether to continue playing or embark on retirement.

Kyle Rudolph’s inclusion in NBC Sports’ Big Ten broadcast crew adds a wealth of experience and insight to their coverage. With his extensive football background and knowledge of the game, Rudolph is poised to offer unique perspectives and analysis to viewers.
