Quinn Ewers is set to begin his second season as the starter under center for the Texas Longhorns. In Year 1, the gunslinger threw for 2,177 yards and 15 scores to lead his team to eight wins.

He’s hoping for more in 2023.

High expectations are nothing new to the former No. 1 overall recruit. After being dubbed the top quarterback prospect in his class and a potential first-round NFL Draft pick, he’s been thrust into the spotlight in Austin.

After initially enrolling at Ohio State, he transferred to Texas and immediately landed the starting role. While his production wasn’t as consistent as he would’ve liked, there’s no denying his talent.

His ability on the field has led to plenty of NIL opportunities as he’s become one of the most valuable players in college football. On Wednesday, he’ll host his first official event which is being dubbed “An Evening With Quinn Ewers.”

The get-in price for adults is $283 while children’s tickets are $38 each. There’s also a VIP experience for groups of four that totals $2,312.

For those that can’t attend in person, there’s an option to purchase a signed jersey at $209.

Rival fans have been quick to joke about the entry prices on social media.

One OU supporter wrote, “That’s a lot of money to meet the 3rd best Big 12 QB.”

This Ohio State follower asked, “This has to be a joke, right?”

A Miami fan commented, “The prices are high, but it is for charity.”

While many have poked fun at the ticket prices, proceeds will be used to support a great cause. Quinn Ewers is teaming up with “Merging Vets and Players,” a nonprofit organization founded by FOX analyst Jay Glazer and former NFL long snapper Nate Boyer.

The company’s site says, “By merging vets and players, we create an environment where these warriors can share each other’s strength and experience and can support each other in building fulfilling lives of service and strength.”

Ewers will likely continue cashing in on these types of NIL opportunities as the offseason progresses.
