The Texas Longhorns walked into The Big House on Saturday and left with a convincing 31-12 win over reigning national champion Michigan. Quarterback Quinn Ewers was a big reason why.
The gunslinger completed 24-of-36 passes while racking up 246 yards and three touchdowns. With the emphatic victory, the Longhorns put the college football world on notice!

Ewers immediately introduced himself as a Heisman threat while Texas made a statement on its national title contention.
Despite the embarrassing home loss, a pair of Michigan fans did their best to get under the signal caller’s skin.
While on the field, Ewers was called over for a photo by a young Wolverine supporter. At the last minute, the kid threw a vicious Horns Down, which the quarterback noticed.
Rather than react, he just smiled as he walked off the field. Completely unfazed!
Good example of Quinn Ewers’ calm demeanor in all situations…
This Michigan fan asks Quinn to take a picture with his son. Obviously he pre-planned for his kid to throw the Horns Down (you can see the dad motion it to his kid) – Quinn says something but doesn’t make a big deal… pic.twitter.com/aPKTHM20Bc

Quinn Ewers is on a mission this season as he looks to get the Longhorns back to the College Football Playoff. He’s gotten off to a great start, though the path won’t get any easier this year.
Texas still has Oklahoma, Georgia, and Texas A&M remaining on the schedule as they navigate Year 1 in the SEC.
If Ewers continues to maintain this level of focus, he’ll certainly give his team a chance!
