A few weeks ago a new logos for the Los Angeles Rams leaked online. Most everyone hated it, but held out hope that much like when their stadium-mates Chargers released their new logo in 2019, the Rams would see the error of their ways and would alter the new design or just scrap it altogether.
Sadly, for Rams fans, that didn’t happen and the franchise is still going full steam ahead with the leaked logos.

In the aftermath of the announcement, numerous talented designers took to Twitter and shared their “better” versions (they were), but the Rams are still holding strong and sticking with their new designs.

Kevin Demoff, the Rams’ Chief Operating Officer, heard those complaints and pleas and while he isn’t going to do anything to stop the team from using the new logo designs he is using all of that hate to help out a good cause.
The Rams and KABC held a virtual TeLAThon on Tuesday and Demoff promised that if the donations reached $2 million he would personally read the top 10 mean tweets fans have submitted with regard to the team’s new logo designs.
“If some self-deprecating humor and people taking shots at me can raise money for someone who needs a meal, that’s the best thing I can do with my time,” Demoff told USA TODAY Sports.
Love the new logo, great! Donate to @LAUnitedWay @LAFoodBank during @abc7 te”LA”Thon today. Want to vent about the new logo? Great. Donate to the Relief Fund. If we get over $2m of donations, I will read the Top 10 Mean Tweets our fans have about the logo. https://t.co/1qKfPcc0hF

Welp, they did it.
Amazing work @RamsNFL fans & Los Angeles. Over $2m raised so far for @LAUnitedWay @LAFoodBank to help those most in need from the CoronaVirus pandemic. We are keeping phones & website open through 9pm, but if you excuse me, time to go begin searching for some mean tweets to read! https://t.co/y7sl24x1XW

And now Demoff will have to read all those mean logo tweets, much to the delight of his own children.
“I think my kids are more excited about it than anything,” said Demoff about having to read the mean tweets.
Our group is working to find the best tweets to read for Mean Tweets so that I see them for the first time when I read them. We will figure out the best way to share with you once they are chosen. Thank you for helping our friends in need @LAUnitedWay @LAFoodBank @ABC7

As for the new logo? Yeah, it’s still happening.
“When you unveil something that’s a little different, people have to warm up and get used to that,” Demoff told USA Today Sports. “I think some people will come around to the change and obviously we will look forward and try to make sure the feedback is incorporated in the best way possible.”
Hard to not like his attitude. Maybe the logos will grow on us.
