Rams cornerback Derion Kendrick was arrested on Monday, shortly after starting in the LA’s 26-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

According to TMZ, Kendrick was arrested in Los Angeles following a traffic stop where police discovered a concealed gun in his vehicle.

Kendrick, drafted in the 6th round of the 2022 NFL Draft, spent his first season mostly as a reserve, participating in only 50% of the plays. This year, he secured a full-time starting role, with a remarkable 96% participation rate across six games.

Records from the local jail indicate that Kendrick was booked on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon. As of 2:30 PM PT on Monday, he remained in custody, per TMZ.

Specifics surrounding the arrest have not yet been disclosed. TMZ has reached out to the Rams for comment.

During his two seasons with the Rams, Kendrick tallied seven pass breakups, two tackles for a loss, and 56 solo tackles.

The Rams have not issued a statement regarding the incident. We’ll have to see how this affects their 3-3 season
