Things are chippy in Baltimore ahead of the Ravens‘ postseason matchup with the Chiefs. Members of the two teams’ secondaries were seen going at it in pregame warmups.

Defender Arthur Maulet was spotted taking a swipe at a Kansas City player 45 minutes before kickoff, adding to what’s expected to be an intense playoff battle.

Maulet found himself surrounded by Chiefs players as the two sides got ready for action. Approaching a group of opponents on the sidelines, he was met face-to-face by Jaylen Watson.

Watson headbutted Maulet, giving the defensive back a piece of his mind. Maulet responded by throwing a left jab to Watson’s helmet.

“I like this,” Nate Burleson of the CBS Sports broadcast crew said. “A little pushing and shoving. This is what it’s all about! The intensity is supposed to dial up a notch right now.”

It’s continued what’s been a tense scene at M&T Bank Stadium.

Earlier in the warmup, Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were spotted getting heated with Ravens kicker Justin Tucker.

As Tucker went through his pregame kicking routine in front of Chiefs players, the duo threw and kicked his equipment to the side. Kelce tossed the special teamer’s warmup balls and helmet while Mahomes was seen repeatedly moving Tucker’s kicking stand.

It was not a friendly interaction, according to NFL personality James Palmer.

“This did get a little bit chippy between Mahomes and Kelce and Justin Tucker. They all tried to warm up in the exact same spot… essentially we have a bit of a turf war going on.”

The action on the field should be as fiery as the pregame as the two teams square off with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
