With the alleged rumors going around about Wander Franco, the Tampa Bay Rays have officially placed him on the restricted list.

This was a likely move for the organization, as the MLB is doing everything it can to figure out what’s going on with Franco.

With that said, it sounds like this trip to the restricted list may be a short stint, as the Rays claim he’s only on the list for the next away series against the San Francisco Giants.

Tampa Bay is scheduled to play against San Francisco from the 14th-16th of August. If that’s the official plan, then Wander Franco will only miss three games for the Rays.

Shortly after placing Franco on the restricted list, the Rays organization released a statement regarding the situation. Tampa Bay is supportive of the MLB’s investigation, but that’s all of the details they have shared at this time.

With that said, it’s not entirely clear what will happen with Wander Franco. The MLB and the Rays have been rather tight lipped about the entire situation.

Which makes sense considering they must conduct an investigation on the current allegations floating around the internet.

As of now, it appears social media posts is all the MLB has to work with in regards to Wander Franco’s allegations.

For anyone out of the loop, Franco is being accused of having inappropriate relations with a 14-year old girl.

The MLB will likely use the next three days to find more information while the Rays take on the Giants. Meanwhile, Franco will not be participating in any team activities for the time being.

With that said, keep an eye out for any updates regarding this situation. More details should come to light soon.
