Spanish superclub Real Madrid has a serious argument for being the biggest club in soccer history. Real has one the Spanish league a record 35 times. It also boasts a record 14 UEFA Champions league titles.

Along the way, a number of the game’s greatest players have played for the club. Those names include Zinedine Zidane, Roberto Carlos, both Brazilian Ronaldo and Portuguese Ronaldo, and current Ballon d’Or holder Karim Benzema.

In addition to their unparalleled success, Madrid has become a club that’s known as a home for the top Brazilian talent. Whether it’s Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo in the past, or current 22-year-old superstar Vinicius Jr., it seems as if Los Blancos always have a prodigious Brazilian talent on their side,

Now it appears they’re set to add another, and for an absolutely absurd amount of money.

Real Madrid Set To Spend 72M Euros On Brazilian Wonder Kid Endrick

Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa, known simply as Endrick by most soccer fans, is the next best thing in Brazil. The 16-year-old has already scored three goals in seven games for Brazilian club Palmeira, which is currently the top club in South America.

The young star has been the topic of inquiries from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. Both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain were heavily linked to the Brazilian talent.

But now it appears he’s bound for Madrid.

Soccer transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano broke the news on Thursday morning. Real is reportedly set to pay 72M euros ($76M dollars) for Endrick. But the exorbitant fee also comes with a catch.

Because of his age, Endrick can’t officially join the club until after he’s turned 18. So he won’t head to Madrid until the 2024-25 season at the earliest.

Until then, he’s likely to remain with Palmeiras. But it appears once against the Real Madrid will boast one of Brazil’s best and brightest young talents.
